Spencer Organ to build new Antiphonal organ for St. John’s Denver

Spencer Organ Company is honored to announce that we have been chosen to build a new Antiphonal organ for St. John’s Cathedral in Denver Colorado. This 18 rank Antiphonal organ sitting in two cases on the back wall completes the original 1938 W. W. Kimball Pipe Organ, Opus 7231 in the front of the Cathedral and includes many vintage Kimball pipes along with a new soft 32’ Bourdon and hooded solo reed. The Antiphonal will be built in collaboration with J. Zamberlan & Company of Wintersville, Ohio and Jonathan Ambrosino of Cambridge Massachusetts. Completion is scheduled for early 2016.

  1. I love what you and your company have done with the Kimball Pipe Organ ,housed in Denver’s St. John Cathedral. I was quite impressed with the 32′ Open Wood in the pedal division of the organ. It’s not everyday that you come across an instrument that has a full 32 notes for this stop in the pedal division..
I had the pleasure of playing the instrument in 1996. The sound was wonderful at that time: I just can imagine how wonderful the instrument must sound today with your restoration a few years ago..
